These terms cover your use of mini-till.co.uk, the free till and the paid stock system (Mini Till Pro and Mini Till Teams). By using them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use them. Our privacy policy explains how personal data is handled.
1. The free till
The till is free to use, with no account. It runs in your browser and keeps your products, sales and settings in that browser's local storage on your device. We do not receive them and cannot recover them if you clear your browser data or lose the device, so keeping backups is your job. The till records how a sale was paid but does not take or process card payments.
2. The paid service
Mini Till Pro and Mini Till Teams add a shared stock system: central stock and locations, team logins with roles, and sales synced from every till. The current plans and prices are on the pricing page:
- Mini Till Pro: £10 a month or £100 a year, for up to 5 active team members.
- Mini Till Teams: £100 a month or £1,000 a year, with no limit on team members.
Both plans have the same features. The till stays free whether or not you use the paid service.
3. Your account and your team
The person who signs a team up is its owner. The owner is responsible for who is added, the role each person has, keeping sign-in details safe, and everything done under the team's logins. Give each person their own login and the smallest role that lets them do their job. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been misused.
The business that signs up is the controller of its own staff's and trade data, and we are its processor, as set out in the privacy policy.
4. Free trial
Both paid plans start with a 14-day free trial with full access. Stripe takes your card details at checkout, but nothing is charged until day 14. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing.
5. Billing and renewal
After the trial, the subscription renews automatically each month or each year, depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel, and the charge is taken from the card on the account through Stripe. You can switch between monthly and yearly, update your card and download invoices in Stripe's customer portal.
Moving from Pro to Teams is done from Team settings, takes effect straight away and is charged pro rata for the rest of the period. You can move back to Pro when the team has 5 or fewer active members. Adding a sixth active member on Pro needs the move to Teams first.
If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days with a banner asking you to fix the card. After that the stock system becomes read-only until the payment goes through.
6. Price changes
We may change our prices. A subscriber keeps the price they signed up at until they change plan; moving to a different plan means the price of that plan at the time. New prices apply to people who sign up after the change.
7. Cancelling, and your data afterwards
You can cancel at any time from Team settings, then Manage subscription. There are no phone calls and no notice period. After cancelling, the stock system becomes read-only: nothing is deleted, your team can still sign in, see everything and export every table to CSV, and subscribing again picks up where you left off. You can also ask us to delete your team's data, as described in the privacy policy.
8. Refunds
Cancel before the end of the 14-day trial and you pay nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law.
9. Not an accounting or tax record
Mini Till is a till and a stock tool. It is not accounting software, a tax return or an official record, and nothing on this site is legal, financial or tax advice. VAT is treated as inclusive at 20%, and margin and valuation reports use each product's current cost price, so they are indicative rather than exact. You remain responsible for your own records, VAT and tax, for checking figures against your takings, and for keeping exports and backups. For anything that matters, check the official source or ask an accountant.
10. Using the service properly
You agree not to misuse the site or the service, including by trying to gain unauthorised access, interfering with how it works, scraping it at a volume that degrades it for others, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site and the service running but do not promise uninterrupted access. Tills queue sales on the device if the connection drops and send them when it returns, but we cannot guarantee that every sale will reach the server if a device is lost or its browser data cleared first. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, and will tell paying teams in advance where we can.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or the service, including loss of profit, loss of data, or a decision taken on the basis of a figure shown here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Advertising and links
The free content pages carry advertising. Advertising and measurement cookies are only set as described in the privacy policy, and you can change your choice with the Cookie settings link in the footer. We link to other sites where we think they are useful, usually official sources. We are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement.
14. Intellectual property
The content and design of this site belong to us. You may read it, print it and share links to it for your own use. You may not republish it in bulk or present it as your own. The data you put into the till or the stock system remains yours.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. If a change affects a paying team, we will email the team owner.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
17. Contact
