Q: Is Mini Till suitable for my business?
A: Mini Till is designed for small businesses like cafés, market stalls, pop-up shops, and small retailers who need a simple, free EPOS system. It's ideal for basic till operations but doesn't include advanced features like inventory management, accounting integration, or multi-location support.
Q: Does Mini Till store my business data?
A: No. All your products, prices, and sales transactions are stored locally in your browser only. We do not transmit or store any of your business data on our servers. This means your data is private but also means you need to back it up yourself.
Q: Can you help me with HMRC compliance or VAT?
A: We cannot provide tax or accounting advice. Mini Till is a basic till system and doesn't include tax calculation or HMRC-compliant reporting. You'll need proper accounting software and should consult with an accountant. Visit

Q: I found a bug or the till isn't working. What should I do?
A: Please email us at hello@mini-till.co.uk with details about the issue, including what browser you're using, what actions you took, and what went wrong. Screenshots are very helpful! We take bugs seriously and will investigate promptly.

Q: Is this service really free?
A: Yes, Mini Till is completely free to use. We may display advertisements to support the service, but all till features are available at no cost with no hidden fees.
Q: What happens if I clear my browser data?
A: All your products and sales history will be permanently deleted if you clear your browser's local storage. We strongly recommend exporting your data regularly as a backup. Consider bookmarking the site and using the same browser/device for consistency.
Q: Can I use this on multiple devices or locations?
A: Currently, data is stored locally per browser/device, so each device will have its own separate till. There's no cloud sync feature. This is on our feature request list for future consideration.
